Retaining your Aged Care Workforce

Are you leading a team in aged care and looking for ways to improve staff retention? 
The Retaining your Aged Care Workforce short course encourages leaders to consider how data, culture, and targeted strategies can work together to address workforce challenges and build a more sustainable future for aged care organisations. 

Retaining skilled and passionate staff is one of the biggest challenges in aged care. This short course is designed for leaders who want to understand the factors influencing workforce retention and consider practical, evidence-based strategies to improve it. 

Through a combination of online modules and facilitated workshops, participants will explore how to use data effectively, address sector-wide and organisational challenges, and support diverse workforce groups. 

  • 100% online.
  • Total time commitment is 8 hours, including 4 hours of facilitated group workshops and 4 hours of self-directed learning.
  • Facilitated group workshops with peers from other organisations sharing challenges and triumphs.
  • Ongoing access after completion.
  • Certificate of completion and digital badge provided.

The course is delivered across 3 modules, each with self-directed online content and a facilitated workshop, that cover the following learning outcomes

  • Understand the complex factors influencing staff retention.
  • Reflect on actionable strategies to improve retention, job satisfaction, and leadership practices in your workplace
  • Explore strategies to support and retain diverse workforce groups. 

The total time commitment for the course is 8 hours
