First Nations Hub

The First Nations Hub was developed through funding from the J.O. & J.R. Wicking Trust as part of ARIIA's Workforce Capability Building Program, which aims to strengthen collaboration, leadership and sustainable networks across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (First Nations) health and aged care sectors.

Co-designed with First Nations aged care providers, the program established the First Nations Workforce Capability Roundtable, bringing leaders from across Australia together to identify culturally safe workforce priorities. Guided by the Roundtable, the Hub was created to share the program's work through themed case studies, practical resources and examples of culturally safe workforce capability developed by First Nations organisations.

The program also delivered a Knowledge Exchange Pilot, enabling First Nations leaders to learn directly from peer organisations, and a national Knowledge Sharing Event that brought providers together to share knowledge, strengthen connections and identify future priorities.
