In 2025, we saw the opportunity to deliver grants in a new way, to encourage more collaboration and translation across the aged care ecosystem. With support from the Commonwealth Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, the Aged Care Collaborative was launched to address complex aged care workforce challenges with solutions that can be scaled across the sector.
Accelerator Grants support innovations to expand and translate their impact in aged care, while Flagship Projects fund aged care providers to work together to tackle sector-wide workforce challenges. These programs highlight innovative, evidence-based solutions that can be scaled across the sector.
Aged Care Collaborative
The Aged Care Collaborative is ARIIA’s grants program, funding projects that translate knowledge and innovation in aged care. Along with ARIIA’s original research translation grants from 2022 to 2024, ARIIA has funded more than 80 projects that address critical aged care priorities.
