ARIIA is proud to launch its inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2026–2027, formalising our commitment to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ensuring their voices help shape aged care innovation, workforce capability and research translation across Australia. Based on the principles of relationships, respect, opportunities and governance, our RAP provides a framework for learning, listening and taking meaningful action.

Reconciliation is an ongoing commitment to embedding respect, relationships and accountability into the way we work. Through our RAP and First Nations initiatives, ARIIA is committed to ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge, perspectives and leadership inform the future of aged care across Australia.
Supporting a More Inclusive Future
Our Reflect RAP builds on existing partnerships and initiatives, including the ARIIA First Nations Governance Group and the development of the First Nations Aged Care Workforce Program and First Nations Hub. Together, these initiatives create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and experiences to contribute to culturally safe, inclusive and responsive aged care.
