Dr Stephanie Champion is a Senior Research Fellow and Facilitator for ARIIA’s Workforce Capability Development Programs. Her research uses multimethod approaches to explore how digital technologies and devices can improve care delivery, support independence, and promote healthy ageing, with a strong emphasis on ensuring older people have a meaningful voice in how technology is integrated into their care. At ARIIA, she primarily evaluates technology implementation projects to assess their feasibility, sustainability, impact, and acceptability for both staff and older people, working closely with care providers to design evaluation strategies and strengthen internal evaluation capability. Her recent major projects include supporting a community led service mapping initiative within an Aboriginal community to examine aged care delivery in remote areas with limited-service availability and evaluating a national telehealth implementation program providing on demand allied health services to aged care facilities.
