The Equip Aged Care Learning Packages from the University of Tasmania (Wicking Dementia Centre) are freely available to anyone interested in the aged care sector to help enhance knowledge and keep up to date with current practices. Good Things Foundation has created a free Digital Skills Checker to support digital mentors to better understand their learners’ needs. The ‘Getting Started’ part is a quiz to determine an individual’s current level of digital literacy. The ‘Your Progress’ part can be used after a training session to assess progress, skills, and confidence.
Introduction to digital accessibility eLearning registration
These modules from Vision Australia are composed of short, self-paced interactive e-learning modules on what underpins digital accessibility, accessibility standards organisations must follow, and putting digital accessibility into practice. These are free of charge to all aged care workers starting March 2023. Those interested can register via this form.
