The Department of Health and Aged Care is conducting the 2024 Aged Care Worker Survey as part of efforts to improve the aged care system for older people in Australia and better support the dedicated workforce who cares for them.
The Aged Care Worker Survey 2024 is an important opportunity for aged care workers to share what’s working well and what we can do better to support them in delivering care to older people.
This survey seeks information to understand the skills aged care workers have and what training is needed, employment conditions, what is rewarding about the role and the challenges faced in delivering aged care.
This survey is open to all aged care workers who provide one-on-one care, including nurses, personal and home care workers and allied health professionals working in the following aged care programs:
- Residential aged care
- Home Care Packages Program
- Commonwealth Home Support Program
- Multi-purpose Service Program
- National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program
- This survey is also open to independent contractors, agency and labour hire staff working in aged care.
